Continuous

  • To describe what is happening now, an action in progress in the moment of speaking:

You are studying English right now

  • To describe a temporary situation:

I am reading the book "hundred years of solitude"

  • To indicate something that will or will not happen in the near future:

We are watching a movie tonight 

  • To talk about repeated actions is often used with "always or constantly":

That baby is always smiling 

  • It is also called "present progressive"
