ACTIVITY DESIGNED FOR ANY LEVEL AND ANY TOPIC.  IT IS A READING ACTIVITY THAT INVOLVES SPEAKING, WRITING AND LISTENING.

MATERIALS NEEDED: A PARAGRAPH OR AN ARTICLE FROM A TEXTBOOK, PIECES OF PAPER

Choose an article from a textbook and make some indirect comprehension questions that will help students infer the answers.  Paste those questions out of the classroom and number them.  Make groups of three and assign roles as follows; a secretary, a runner, and a reader.  The complete article should be given only to the reader, the runner should go out and look for question number 1, return to the classroom and dictate it to the secretary who writes it down while the reader looks for the corresponding answer and also dictates it to the secretary.  This activity continues until the students have completed the whole set of questions and answers number by number. Finally, have students share the answers and confirm comprehension.  The runner is not allowed to write anything, only the secretary writes.

ACTIVITY DESIGNED FOR ANY LEVEL AND ANY TOPIC.  IT IS A READING ACTIVITY THAT INVOLVES SPEAKING, WRITING AND LISTENING.

MATERIALS NEEDED: A PARAGRAPH OR AN ARTICLE FROM A TEXTBOOK CUT IN PIECES, A WORKSHEET, SOME IMAGES

Choose an article from a textbook and some images that could represent the main topic of the reading, use them to pair up students and as a warm up to help them guess what the topic is, encourage a little discussion.  Divide the reading into different sections according to the number of students you have, it is better to form small groups. Assign each group a section of the reading and have them read it and get ready to share that information with the other groups but using their own words, allow students to take notes while they listen to their classmates.  Prepare a worksheet with some comprehension questions about the complete article, once the groups have shared what they read, hand it out.  Students in their groups should try to answer as many questions as possible . Finally, go over the answers.
